After Love

Set in the port town of Dover, Mary Hussain suddenly finds that she is a widow following the unexpected death of her husband.

A day after the burial, she discovers that he was keeping
a secret from her, just twenty-one miles across the English Channel in Calais. After Love won six British Independent Film

Awards in 2022, including best actor, best director and best screenplay. Welsh actress Joanna Scanlan was also named Best Actress at the BAFTAs this year for her phenomenal performance in this drama.
Running time: 1 hr 29 mins.

SINEMA SADWRN is a friendly, volunteer-run, community cinema
showing a film each month on Friday nights and occasional family screenings. We show classics, comedies, dramas, foreign language films, animations and documentaries.

Screenings take place in Llansadwrn Reading Room and occasionally the Sexton Arms on special occasions. Unless otherwise stated, doors open at 7pm, with films starting at 7.15pm, tickets are £5. We have a nice big screen and good sound, toilet facilities and disabled access. Cinema nights are friendly occasions with the pub next door for a pre/post film pint and discussion!

COVID -19 Restrictions have been lifted so just turn up on the night. If any changes are announced over the coming months we will post updates on Facebook. Thank you for your co-operation.
