Minutes of the meeting of Llansadwrn Community Council held at the Reading Room, Llansadwrn on Monday 1st July, 2024
The chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.

4.Matters arising from the minutes:
4.2Llansadwrn Reading Room
No updates received. A reminder had been received from the Charity Commission that we were overdue sending information regarding the Accounts.
8Brownhill Junction
Nothing further to report. Complaints were received that the hedgerows needed cutting around the junction as visibility was very poor on leaving the junction. The Clerk to contact Carmarthenshire County Council.
8 (1)Llansadwrn Play area
Nothing to report.
8 (iii)Web Site
Nothing to report.
8 (2)Highway issues
The Hedgerows would not be cut until end of September/October. The biodiversity department activates any decisions regarding cutting the hedgerows. It was agreed that the Bus Route should also receive priority as the roads were so narrow and the hedges need cutting back.
8 (5)Green GEN Cymru
A landowner meeting had been held and it was very well attended. Llandovery Pylon Group were very active and sending out information to everyone and also to landowners.
Co-option of two members
Co-option notices had been brought along to the meeting for anyone wishing to advertise the vacancies, the Clerk had sent Notices to Postdatum and arranged for the information to be placed on the web site.

Councillor L. Rowlands sent the following update:
Jason Evans still chasing planning application for affordable homes on the site of the old school classrooms and neighbouring area, planning office notoriously slow, as usual. When we receive the result we will begin negotiations with Bro Myrddin with assistance from Jonathan Hughes, Cwmpas.

Mr. P. Howells (D Day event) – £115.00

No requests.

Updated and signed at the September meeting.

To be discussed at the September meeting. Clerk to send report with minutes.
IRP payments
No member wished to claim and the report had been sent to the IRP office.
Audit 2023/2024
The end of year Audit had been completed and sent to the Wales Audit Office.
Bank Signatures
This was ongoing, but hopefully it will be completed by the September meeting.
Online Banking for Community Councils
It was agreed that this would be put on hold.
8.Any other business
8 (6)Parking on Community Field
A request had been received from Chris Murphy, Cwmmynydd Fach, his daughter is getting married 6th July and due to lack of parking in the vicinity if guests with camper vans/motorhomes could park on the Community Field. This was discussed and unfortunately it was refused, there was parking facilities at nearby Abermarlais.

The next meeting would be held on Monday 2nd July, 2024 at 6.00 p.m. at the Reading Room, Llansadwrn.
