CYNGOR CYMUNED LLANSADWRN COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Minutes of the meeting of Llansadwrn Community Council held at the Reading Room, Llansadwrn on Monday 3rd June, 2024.
The chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Present:
Chairman: Councillor C. Powell
Councillors: C. Jones, W. Davies, H. Evans, L. Rowlands
Councillor T. Evans had resigned as a member, the Clerk to send a thank you email for her contribution whilst a member of the Community Council.
The Clerk had contacted Carmarthenshire County Council regarding the vacancies and a Notice of Vacancies notice had been received, the closing date was 21st June, 2024. Copies of the Notice were distributed. If no interested had been received then a co-option notice would be sent an distributed.

4. Matters arising from the minutes:
4.2 Llansadwrn Reading Room
It was necessary to elect a new Chairman, no meeting held.
Brownhill Junction
The Clerk had contacted SWTRA but not further information available to date. An additional request for traffic calming measures at the junction was discussed.
8 (1) Llansadwrn Play Area
Councillor L. Rowlands agreed to inspect the play area on a regular basis, and report any issues.
8 (iii) Web Site
Nothing to report.
8 (2) Highway Issues
Pot holes were an on going issue.
Red Telephone Kiosk
The possibility of placing the Footpath Map in the kiosk was mentioned.
8 (3) Volunteers in the Community
It was agreed to remove this temporarily from the Agenda.
8 (5) Green GEN Cymru
An email had been received from Llandovery Pylon Community Action Group stating that they had been in touch with landowners in our area regarding Bruton Knowles sending out letters to gain access for surveys. Any concerned landowners, please contact the Llandovery Pylon Group.

The Clerk had enquiries regarding a “No Pylon” flag and it was agreed to purchase a banner costing £24.00, Councillor H. Evans agreed to collect the banner.
8 (6) Llansadwrn Big Lunch – Marquee
It ws reported that this had now been sorted.
8 (9) Venue/MS Teams – future meetings
The date and venues in the minutes of the meeting dated 3rd June, 2024 were discussed and accepted as correct. The Clerk thanked everyone for the proposal.
