Minutes of the meeting of Llansadwrn Community Council held at the Reading Room, Llansadwrn on Wednesday 3rd November, 2021

The chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting. A meeting had not been held during September and October.
1. Apologies

2. Minutes of the previous meeting and matters that were not included on the Agenda
Minutes were accepted as correct.
3. Declaration of Interest

4. Matters arising from the minutes:
4.2 Llansadwrn Reading Room
The Reading Room had received funding totalling £4,500.00. People were attending events at the Reading Room, and hopefully the cinema will be sorted soon. A copy of the minutes had been received by the Clerk.
Defibrillator training will be held much later in the year.
Brownhill Junction
The Clerk proposed removing this from the Agenda, but following a discussion it was agreed to leave it remain on the Agenda.
8 (1) Llansadwrn Play Area
The Clerk gave a copy of the inspection report to Councillor C. Eady, who had kindly agreed to be responsible for inspecting the play equipment.
8 (iii) Web site
Annual income received from advertising £180.00, this sum was deducted from the annual invoice.
8 (2) Highway Issues
The road by Waun Clyn Da just outside the village continued to have a number of pot holes.
The County Councillor agreed to report the issue.
8 (a) Gardd Gymunedol Llansadwrn Community Garden
No meeting had been held to date.
8 (d) Light for Community Field
Councillor L. Jones had agreed to attend a site meeting, the Clerk to arrange a site meeting as late as possible during the day.
Newly installed LED lights
A site meeting to be arranged.
Community Field furniture
This was discussed at length and it was agreed to discuss again at the next meeting and include the costs in the Budget Report for 2022/2023.
8 (e) Red Telephone kiosk
A number of suggestions for the use of the Red Telephone kiosk had been received, copies were given to the Clerk in order that everyone could receive copies of the suggestions received.

(ii) Carmarthenshire County Council – planning consultation PL/02575 – Bryn Dyfan – One Planet development
(iii) Carmarthenshire County Council – planning consultation PL/02279 – Pantyronen – 3 solar arrays
(iv) Carmarthenshire County Council – planning consultation PL/02265 – Y Bwthyn, Bryn Farm – 2 storey extension
(v) Carmarthenshire County Council – appeal decision Gellideg – granted.
No comments/issues had been received for the above.

Nothing definite had been agreed but the following had been discussed:
Housing Associations had shown an interest in the house, part of the land around the area was on a flood plain, possibly sell some of the land in order to invest more money into the project.

This to be discussed and agreed at the January meeting.
Audit update
A notice to be placed on the website that the Audit Report for 2020/2021 had not been completed by the Audit Office.
