Minutes of the meeting of Llansadwrn Community Council held at the Reading Room Llansadwrn on Wednesday 1st February, 2023

4.2 Reading Room

Brownhill Junction
Nothing to report.
An update had been received from the Commemorative woodland at Brownhill, but at the present time this would not affect the junction at Brownhill.
Llansadwrn Play Area
At the moment the Play Area was not being inspected on a monthly basis.
8 (iii) Web Site
Nothing to report.
8 (2) Highway Issues
The pot holes continued to be an issue, although they had been filled recently.
Footpaths
As agreed at a previous meeting this to be discussed after the Annual General Meeting.
8 (a) Gardd Gymunedol Llansadwrn Community Garden
Nothing to report.
Red Telephone Kiosk
As agreed at a previous meeting this to be discussed after the Annual General Meeting.
8 (3) Community Field Furniture
Two members of the village had shown an interest in donating a picnic bench which could be placed on the Community Field.
8 (5) Memorial Monument
The Clerk was asked to make enquires regarding the rules and regulations of carrying out work on War Memorial Monuments.

A new set of Architects to discuss the possibility of 4 to 6 Flats, also structural examination. Councillor J. Evans and husband wished to resign as representatives of the Community Council as Trustees of Cornwallis.

This to be discussed at the next meeting.
8. Any other business
(10) Show Committee
This event would be held this year but would be in a different format, a family fun day.
(11) Kings Coronation
An event would be held in the village, the Community Council agreed to pay for the purchase of a Marquee, at a cost of £1,000.00 plus V.A.T. Councillor C. Eady to send the details to the Clerk.
(12) Community Field grass cutting contract
The Auditors required three quotes. The Clerk to draft a copy of the advert and forward a copy to Councillor L. Jones. The work to be advertised on the website and Postdatum.
The Clerk to remind Colin Darman regarding the “rolling” of the Community Field when the weather improves.
