Minutes of the meeting of Llansadwrn Community Council held at the Reading Room Llansadwrn on Wednesday 5th September, 2018.

Minutes were accepted as correct.

4. Matters arising from the minutes:
4.2 Llansadwrn Reading Room
The Clerk to write to the Chairman regarding the loft insulation for the Reading Room. It was reported that the Reading Room was being re-decorated.
8 (c) Speed Restrictions
Nothing to report.
Brownhill Junction
It was discussed and agreed that the Community Council write to the owners of Brownhill regarding the possibility of purchasing a very small piece of their land. This would assist with the visibility when leaving the Junction. There might be an issue regarding the removal of a large Tree, this would be discussed as soon as a reply was received from Brownhill.
8 (1) Llansadwrn Play Area
Nothing to report, although the Play Area was due for inspection.
Maintenance – war memorial
A letter had been sent to every Community Councillor regarding the reduction in the quote from Cwmni Brodyr Griffiths Bwtrimawr,one objection had been received. Peter Lewis Hill, Painter and Decorator, had been asked to quote for the work, but no reply received to date. The Clerk to remind him that we require a quote by the next meeting as the work would need to be carried out before the 11th November, 2018.
8 (iii) Web site
The web site was now complete.
Defibrillator
Nothing to report. The Clerk had made a third application.
8 (2) Highway Issues
Nothing to report regarding the problem with the drain.
Entrance to the Community Field
Mr Huw Evans had agreed to carry out the work at a cost of approximately £1,000.00. The work to be carried out before the Autumn.
The Clerk to make further enquiries regarding a light for the Community Field.
Community Garden
Counc. J. Couch reported that a Community Garden on the Community Field was going ahead. A committee would be formed to discuss the way forward. Equipment such as a lawn mower, shed and benches would be required. As soon as the Community Garden Committee had been established the Community Council agreed to support the venture.

6. Reports
The County Councillor reported the following:
Work had been carried out at Cwmeirchion
Waste Amnesty at Llandovery – 15/09/18
Work on highways – very limited budget available
7. Payments
One Voice Wales membership for 2018/2019
We Dig Media (web site) – £528.00
Donations
A request had been received from Capel Dewi for a donation towards work to be carried out on the Church Wall. It was agreed to enquire regarding the approximate cost of the work.
A request had been received from Llyfrau Llafar Cymru – it was agreed to give a donation of £40.00.
Precept
The precept payment £2,000.00 had been received
(a) Signing quarterly income and expenditure reports/bank statements
Copies were distributed and signed.
(b) Budgets – 2018/2019
These to be discussed at the November meeting.
8. Any other business
Llansadwrn Terrier Club
The Clerk had written for a list of definite dates the Community Field would be required, but no reply received to date.
