Minutes of the meeting of Llansadwrn Community Council held via MS Teams on Wednesday 3rd April, 2024.
The chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.

4. Matters arising from the minutes:
4.2 Llansadwrn Reading Room
The Annual General Meeting would be held soon, the Accounts have been audited. The International Animation Festival were using Cinema Llansadwrn on the Saturday. The Reading Room did not have place to display the King’s Portrait. The D Day Flag had been ordered.
Brownhill Junction
A reply had been received from SWTRA and they had agreed to a site meeting. This was discussed as to who was available and also convenient times. It was agreed that once a time and date was received the Clerk to inform everyone and whoever was available to attend.

Nothing to report.

Nothing to report.
8 Highway Issues
It was reported that the problem with pot holes was getting worse, especially since the Cwmerchon was closed and heavy traffic was ruining the roads in the village. Complaints had also been received regarding the poor signage.
Red Telephone Kiosk
No further progress, local consultations as to the best way to take the project forward.

An open day had been organised and it was well attended with approximately 40 people present. Bro Myrddin Housing were showing an interest in affordable housing and a meeting was being organised for the end of April. The priority was to get work done on the house, surveys have already been carried out. Value and Planning are next and hopefully we can move forward.

8. Any other business
(5) Green Gen Cymru
Invitations had been sent to everyone to join an on-line webinar. Compulsory purchase was discussed, which the Community Council found unacceptable. No one was allowed to speak at the Webinar. They stated that there were no funds for carrying the work underground, everyone should make their voices heard and respond to the consultation.
(6) Llansadwrn Big Lunch
A marquee for the big lunch was discussed briefly.
9. Date of next meeting
The next meeting of the Community Council would be held at the Reading Room, Llansadwrn at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday 1st May, 2024. The Annual General Meeting followed by the ordinary meeting.
