Gelli Aur Country Park and Arboretum is a great family day out. After many years of closure the cafe and playground are open again as is the nature trail to the quarry.
The magnificent arboretum is also open again and you can walk round for £4.50 an adult which covers the cost of the tree surgery work.
Aberglasney House and gardens
Aberglasney as seen on the BBC television series “A Garden Lost in Time” . It is now a plantsman’s paradise with a unique Elizabethan cloister garden at its heart, there is over 10 acres of magnificent gardens which along with the fully restored ground floor of Aberglasney’s grade II* listed mansion.

The Botanic Gardens Wales
The spectacular glasshouse at the Botanic Gardens Wales is just one reason to visit this great visitor attraction. The gardens are all interesting regardless of the weather and there is so much to explore that it will take a whole day.
The bee garden is an inspiration whilst the walled gardens may make you envious and rethink your veg plot.
There is always an event happening, butterflies emerging in the orchid house or flowers coming into bloom no matter what time of the year it is.
